We have had some crazy weather here at our RV park and campground. However, that did not stop our guests from having tons of fun on The Big Piney River in late June. Everyone just put on their brave and headed out for their family float trip with Devil's Elbow River Safari.
There are scores of floaters these days in spite of the ominous skies that turn out to just spit a few sprinkles. Undaunted adventurers head out with canoes, kayaks, rafts, and just plain tubes for their day on the river. The temperatures of water and air seem perfect to everyone.
The older kids were pulling out fish right and left for days on end. Even the littles had their fair share of luck with their nets on the bank. Tadpoles, minnows and crawdads never fail to disappoint!
Sunshine comes and goes for days on end. Nobody seems to notice or care as they enjoy every minute of their riverside playground. Young and old alike wade back into the water to rinse off the barbeque and ice cream with one last swim before dark.
Speaking of barbeque, Sweetwater Barbeque seems to be everyone's favorite place for carry out ribs. 12 slabs later, every one was consistently tender and tasty. Our barbeque area is now equipped electric for crock pot beans and running water for cleanup.
