ree

So there you are on your camping trip with your family overlooking The Big Piney River at Cedar Mere Riverside. Everyone had the time of their lives the day before on a float trip with Devil's Elbow River Safari. Today however, you came out to see the clouds rolling in.

What to do now? Easy enough to turn "OH NO!" into " OH YES!" A little less than an hour and a half down I 44 is an awesome place to certainly please the whole family.

Meramec Caverns is well known as the largest commercial cave in the state of Missouri. It's expansive underground limestone cave system spans almost 5 miles for the most extraordinary visual show one could imagine. Guided tours are conducted daily by Park Rangers starting at 9 am every day except holidays.

The caverns showcase a myriad of stalactites and stalagmites and gorgeous light shows along 1.25 miles of guided walkways. It is a most popular tourist attraction right along the historic mother road, Route 66. On site amenities include the Jesse James Museum, the 1,250 foot Caveman Zipline, and the Climbing Wall with Ropes Course.
