Bennett Spring State Park is a scenic 3,338‑acre Missouri state park situated in both Dallas and Laclede counties, anchored by one of the state's largest springs.

🌿 Highlights & History

  • Massive spring flow: Springs actually gush 100 million gallons per day. It is centered on the spring that flows into Niangua River and gives the park its name

  • Cultural heritage: Settled in the mid-1800s, it was once home to grist and flour mills.

  • CCC craftsmanship: In the 1930s, the Civilian Conservation Corps added rustic cabins, trails, a stone bridge with distinctive arches, and the dining lodge.

  • Trout fishing: The park is renowned for rainbow and brown trout. It’s divided into zones with “catch & keep” from March–October and catch-and-release the rest of the year. Daily fishing starts and ends with a whistle (Visit Missouri).
